NHT Opens Refund Applications For 2018 Contributions

The National Housing Trust (NHT) has officially begun accepting applications for refunds of contributions made in 2018. This marks the start of the 2026 refund period, allowing contributors to reclaim payments made eight years ago. The NHT confirmed that applications must be submitted exclusively online through its official website or the NHT Online portal.  

Applicants are required to have their National Insurance Scheme (NIS) and Tax Registration Number (TRN) cards available when applying. The Trust emphasized that accurate information is critical, as errors may delay processing or require resubmission. Mortgagors whose accounts are up to date are also eligible to apply for refunds. Correctly submitted applications are expected to be processed within 15 working days.
