Nirav Koli Makes History at Kettlebell Marathon World Championship

Nirav Koli has become the first Indian to achieve the prestigious Candidate Master of Sport (CMS) rank at the International Kettlebell Marathon Federation World Championship, held in Spain from May 2 to 4. Competing against athletes from 22 countries, Koli delivered an outstanding performance, earning a silver medal and setting a new benchmark for Indian kettlebell athletes.  
 
- Koli secured second place in the 75-85 kg bodyweight category by completing 142 reps in the 40 kg Jerk event, lifting nonstop for 10 minutes.  
- His performance in the Double Pentathlon event earned him the CMS rank, a significant international recognition in kettlebell sport.  
- The Indian Ambassador to Spain, Dinesh K Patnaik, hosted Koli and his team at the Embassy of India in Madrid following the championship.  
- Koli, a personal trainer based in Mumbai, aims to expand kettlebell sport in India and train future athletes for international competitions.  
- His coach, Arnav Sarkar, played a crucial role in his preparation, guiding him through rigorous training sessions.  
 
With this achievement, Koli has not only brought pride to India but also paved the way for greater awareness and participation in kettlebell sport across the country.
