With the November 30 deadline approaching, over 68 lakh pensioners must submit their annual life certificate to continue receiving benefits. The government’s Jeevan Pramaan portal now offers a fully digital, Aadhaar-based submission process, including face authentication via smartphone—eliminating the need for physical visits.

Digital convenience meets pension compliance as deadline nears
The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has reminded pensioners to submit their annual life certificate—also known as the Jeevan Pramaan Patra—by November 30, 2025. This mandatory document verifies a pensioner’s living status and ensures uninterrupted pension disbursement. Traditionally submitted in person at banks or post offices, the process has now been digitized for ease and accessibility.
Under the Digital Life Certificate Campaign 4.0, pensioners can generate and submit their certificate online using Aadhaar-based biometric authentication or the newly introduced face recognition feature via smartphone. The Jeevan Pramaan portal (jeevanpramaan.gov.in) allows users to download their certificate using a Pramaan ID and OTP. This initiative is especially beneficial for elderly citizens and those with mobility challenges.
