Ola Roadster X Debuts in Kerala—Affordable Power Meets Futuristic Design

Ola Electric has officially launched its much-awaited Roadster X electric motorcycle in the Kerala market, marking a major milestone in the state’s EV revolution. Deliveries commenced on May 23, 2025, with Kerala among the first regions to experience the new-age electric bike, following its national rollout earlier this year.

Variants and Pricing: The Ola Roadster X is available in three battery variants—2.5 kWh (₹74,999), 3.5 kWh (₹84,999), and 4.5 kWh (₹94,999, all introductory ex-showroom prices). The X+ premium variant, featuring a larger 4.5 kWh or 9.1 kWh battery, starts at ₹1.29 lakh.
Performance and Range: The base model offers a range of 140 km on a full charge and accelerates from 0 to 40 km/h in just 3.4 seconds, with a top speed of 105 km/h. The mid-tier variant extends the range to 196 km, while the top variant boasts an impressive 252 km per charge and a top speed of 118 km/h. The X+ model pushes the envelope further, with the 9.1 kWh battery delivering a staggering 501 km range and a top speed of 125 km/h.
Features: The Roadster X comes equipped with a 7 kW mid-mounted motor, three ride modes (Sport, Normal, Eco), a 4.3-inch LCD display, full-LED lighting, tyre pressure monitoring, and Bluetooth connectivity. The bike’s telescopic front fork, dual rear shocks, and alloy wheels ensure a comfortable and stable ride.
Market Impact: Ola’s phased delivery approach allows the company to address early feedback and ensure smooth customer experience. The Roadster X directly rivals models like the Revolt RV400 and Oben Rorr, offering competitive range and features at an aggressive price point.
