Power Cuts in Lucknow? Minister Issues Zero-Tolerance Warning to Officials

Lucknow Minister of Power has issued a strict warning to the officials of the power department, saying that unauthorized power outages in the city will not be tolerated. As temperature rose and public outrage increased, the minister clarified that both scheduled and unscheduled power outages must be reduced to a bare minimum, and any disruption in service will be dealt with severely.

 

The directive comes after a spike in complaints from residents about frequent, unexplained power cuts disrupting daily life and business. The minister instructed officials to promptly address technical faults, improve grid maintenance, and ensure round-the-clock helplines for consumer grievances. He also called for real-time monitoring of supply and swift deployment of repair teams during emergencies.

 

This measure is meant to ensure continuous power during the hot summer months, providing relief to the people of Lucknow and holding officials accountable for the quality of service.
