Just in time for the IPL 2025 playoffs, Royal Challengers Bengaluru have welcomed back their pace spearhead, Josh Hazlewood. The Australian fast bowler had been sidelined since April 27 due to a shoulder injury and returned home when the tournament was briefly suspended amid India-Pakistan tensions.
After completing his rehab in Brisbane, Hazlewood resumed training as part of Australia’s preparations for the upcoming World Test Championship final. Now, fully fit, he has rejoined the RCB squad ahead of their crucial final league match against Lucknow Super Giants.
Hazlewood has been RCB’s standout bowler this season, bagging 18 wickets in just 10 matches. His return couldn’t be more timely, as RCB aims for a top-two finish, which would give them two chances to reach the final.
RCB’s playoff fate still depends on other results, but with Hazlewood back in the mix, their bowling attack gets a much-needed edge.
