Rituraj Singh, Shah Rukh Khan’s Longtime Friend, Passes Away at 59

Veteran actor Rituraj Singh, known for his contributions to Indian television and cinema, has passed away at the age of 59 due to cardiac arrest. Singh, who shared a close bond with Shah Rukh Khan from their early theatre days, never played a lead role in Bollywood but remained a respected figure in the industry.

- Rituraj Singh was a part of Barry John’s Theatre Action Group, where he formed a lasting friendship with Shah Rukh Khan. Their camaraderie extended beyond the stage, with Singh crediting Khan for inspiring him to pursue acting.  

- Despite his talent, Singh struggled to secure lead roles in Bollywood, instead making a name for himself in television with shows like Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Kutumb, and Anupamaa.  

- He also appeared in films such as Badrinath Ki Dulhania and Satyamev Jayate 2, often portraying supporting characters that added depth to the narrative.  

- His sudden passing has left the industry in mourning, with colleagues and fans sharing heartfelt tributes and revisiting his contributions to Indian entertainment.
