Zoho Corporation has launched Zia LLM, its proprietary large language model tailored for enterprise use, marking a major milestone in India’s AI innovation landscape. Introduced at the Zoholics 2025 event, Zia LLM is designed to deliver contextual intelligence across Zoho’s suite of 55+ business applications
 
Model Architecture:
  • Zia LLM comes in three sizes: 1.3 billion, 2.6 billion, and 7 billion parameters
  • Built entirely inhouse using Nvidia GPUs, optimized for businessspecific tasks like CRM, HR, finance, and customer support
Privacy and Efficiency:
  • Trained exclusively on publicly available and proprietary annotated data—no customer data used
  • Hosted on Zoho’s own data centers in India, the US, and Europe, ensuring full data sovereignty
  • Rightsized models reduce inference costs and improve energy efficiency
Performance and Expansion:
  • Benchmarked against Meta’s Llama models, Zia LLM outperformed Llama 2 and matched 80% of Llama 3’s performance
  • Plans to scale up to 32, 70, and 100 billion parameters by end2025
Ecosystem Integration:
  • Zia LLM is already embedded in Zoho CRM and other apps for summarization, smart prompts, and sales insights
  • Launch includes Zia Agent Studio with 700+ builtin actions and 25+ prebuilt AI agents for Indian use cases like PAN and Aadhaar verification
Speech Recognition:
Zoho also introduced ASR models for English and Hindi, with support for 15 Indian languages coming soon
