Suite Dreams: Marriott Unveils New Regional Collection With Local Flair

Marriott International has unveiled its new regional collection brand, Series by Marriott™, aimed at boosting its footprint in the midscale and upscale lodging markets worldwide. The brand focuses on integrating well-established, regionally relevant hotels into the Marriott family while allowing them to maintain their unique identities. This approach offers hotel owners access to Marriott’s powerful loyalty program, Marriott Bonvoy, and digital platforms to drive direct bookings.
 
The launch kicked off with a foundational partnership in India with Concept Hospitality Private Limited (CHPL), a leading hotel management company operating six brands including The Fern, The Fern Residency, and The Fern Habitat. These brands, with a combined portfolio of 84 open properties and 31 in the pipeline, will exclusively affiliate with Series by Marriott across India. Marriott will also make a small equity investment in CHPL as part of this strategic alliance.
 
Anthony Capuano, Marriott’s CEO, said, “Series by Marriott furthers our commitment to delivering lodging offerings in the right place at the right price with basics done well. This new brand will expand our reach among value-conscious travelers and provide more affiliation opportunities for local owners.”
 
The brand is expected to grow internationally, with ongoing discussions with owners in the U.S., Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
