PM Modi's Unprecedented Welcome: Emir of Qatar Greeted at Delhi Airport

In a rare diplomatic gesture, Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally received Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of Qatar, at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport on Monday. This two-day state visit, concluding on February 18, aims to strengthen bilateral ties and enhance cooperation in trade, investment, energy, and technology sectors. The Qatari delegation includes ministers and business leaders. This visit follows PM Modi's trip to Doha last year, where he thanked the Amir for releasing eight Indian Navy veterans. The leaders are expected to discuss further collaboration, building on the deep-rooted historical ties of friendship and mutual respect between India and Qatar.
