In a crucial IPL 2025 fixture, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have won the toss and elected to bat first against Gujarat Titans (GT) at a sun-drenched venue. With both sides eyeing a strong finish to the season, CSK captain MS Dhoni believes the hard pitch will hold up for the full 40 overs and is backing his side to put runs on the board under the scorching conditions.
The CSK playing XI features a mix of youth and experience with Ayush Mhatre, Devon Conway, Dewald Brevis, and Deepak Hooda joining the seasoned Dhoni. Notably, Ravichandran Ashwin makes way for Hooda in the only change.
GT, led by Shubman Gill, come in with a strong side including Jos Buttler, Rashid Khan, and pacers like Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna. Gerald Coetzee replaces Kagiso Rabada in their only switch.
Impact subs for GT include Sai Sudharsan and Washington Sundar, while CSK have Matheesha Pathirana and Kamlesh Nagarkoti among their reserves.
With CSK currently at the bottom of the table, this is a must-win match to salvage pride.
