The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has breathed new life into one of Delhi’s most enchanting monuments-Rajon ki Baoli in Mehrauli. After months of meticulous restoration, the centuries-old stepwell, famed for its intricate arches and cool, echoing chambers, is now open to the public. The ASI’s conservation efforts included cleaning, structural repairs, and reviving the original stonework, ensuring the baoli’s historic charm and architectural integrity remain intact.
Rajon ki Baoli, built by the Lodi dynasty in the early 16th century, is a testament to the ancient water systems and rich heritage of Delhi. The restoration invites history enthusiasts, photographers, and urban adventurers to rediscover this serene oasis in the heart of Mehrauli Archaeological Park.
