India's biggest stainless steel producer, Jindal Stainless, is targeting robust 30% export expansion in the fiscal year 2025-26, with a view to shipping 22,000–25,000 tonnes per month abroad. The task follows exports plummeting to just 8% of total revenue in FY25 from 11% in the previous year as the firm gave top priority to building up domestic sales due to intense competition from cheap Chinese and Vietnamese imports.
Beneficial US tariffs on steel drive the export thrust, which has brought parity to play for Indian manufacturers and ought to infuse a boost to Jindal's penetration in North America. The company is also expanding in quality-oriented markets like the EU, Japan, South Korea, and the Middle East.
Jindal Stainless registered record 9% sales volume expansion to 2.37 million tonnes in FY25, with consolidated revenues growing 8% and March quarter earnings rising 18%. With the company's integrated operations and focus on value-added products keeping pace with trade uncertainties worldwide, it is well-positioned for export-driven expansion.
