Delhi-Dehradun Expressway, much-awaited, will be inaugurated in the next 2-3 months and completion is due in August 2025. When operational, the 210-km expressway will cut journey time from Delhi to Dehradun from 5-6 hours to 2.5 hours, changing the connectivity game for commuters and tourists. The expressway starts at Akshardham Temple in Delhi, goes through Baghpat, Baraut, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, and Saharanpur before ultimately reaching Dehradun.
An environment-friendly feature is Asia's longest 12-km elevated wildlife corridor and a 2.3-km Rajaji National Park tunnel providing environmentally friendly passage. With a planned speed of 100 km/h and having multiple entry-exit points, the expressway ensures quicker, safer, and smoother travel-best suited for weekend trips or business travel.
