January Jamboree: India and New Zealand’s White-Ball Duel to Light Up 2026

Cricket fans, take note! The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the complete schedule and hosts of New Zealand's highly anticipated white-ball tour of India in January 2026. The eight-match series of three ODIs and five T20Is will be Team India's acclimatization tour ahead of the T20 World Cup, which will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka in February–March 2026.

Series Run: January 11th through January 31st, 2026

 

ODI Venues: Rajkot, Indore, Baroda

 

T20I Venues: Nagpur, Raipur, Visakhapatnam, Guwahati, Trivandrum

 

Legends Return: Both legends, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, who had given up Tests and T20Is, are likely to be a part of the ODIs, providing fans with a potential farewell in the 50-over format.

 

T20I Captaincy: Suryakumar Yadav would most probably lead the T20I side, with the series determining the completion of India's World Cup squad.

 

Prime Preparation: The series is India's inaugural international assignment for 2026 and an important build-up for both countries prior to the global T20 tournament.
