In a scintillating display of power-hitting, the Lucknow Super Giants posted an imposing 205/7 in their 20 overs against a struggling bowling lineup. Mitchell Marsh set the tone early with a blistering 65 off just 39 balls, smashing six fours and four sixes at a strike rate of 166.67. He was well-supported by Aiden Markram, who contributed 61 off 38 deliveries, keeping the scoreboard ticking with calculated aggression.
Nicholas Pooran added a quickfire 45 from 26 balls to ensure the momentum didn’t drop. Despite a few wickets falling in the middle and death overs, including the quick dismissals of Ayush Badoni and Abdul Samad, the Super Giants pushed past the 200-run mark with the help of 11 extras from the bowling side.
The bowlers struggled to find rhythm, with Harshal Patel (1/49) and Harsh Dubey (1/44) being particularly expensive. Eshan Malinga was the pick of the bowlers, returning with 2/28 in his four overs and maintaining a commendable economy rate of 7.00.
With a daunting total on the board, the Super Giants have put themselves in a strong position to secure a win if their bowlers can hold their nerve.
