Uber launched Courier XL in India, expanding its logistics solution to move large deliveries via 3- and 4-wheeler vehicles. The service enables customers to send up to 750 kg packages-good for moving inventory, furniture, or bulk packages-so it's especially well-suited for small businesses and families. Courier XL features the same convenience as Uber's original Courier service: live tracking, transparent prices, easy booking, and on-demand access, all through the Uber app.
The service was rolled out in Delhi NCR and Mumbai and will roll out in other cities in the near term. This rollout comes on the heels of Uber Courier, which was first limited to two-wheelers for small shipments, recording more than 50% year-over-year growth in 2024 and has helped more than 5 million consumers in 25 cities. With Courier XL, Uber now competes head-on the larger, established logistics players like Porter in India's burgeoning on-demand delivery space.
