Period of Change: L&T Introduces Menstrual Leave for Women Staff

Larsen & Toubro has launched one-day paid menstrual leave for its female employees in the parent entity, covering some 5,000 employees. The policy, declared by Chairman S N Subrahmanyan on the occasion of International Women's Day, is a liberal move in the engineering and construction sector. The decision brings L&T at par with firms such as Swiggy and Zomato, which also have the same sort of policy. The details of implementation are awaited. The move comes amid Subrahmanyan's previous controversial statements about work timings.
