Priyanka Chopra is making her highly anticipated return to the MET Gala, marking her fifth appearance at the prestigious fashion event. The global icon will walk the red carpet in a custom Balmain couture creation, paired with exquisite high jewelry from Bulgari.
The theme for this year’s MET Gala, "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style," celebrates the legacy of Black fashion and the evolution of Dandyism over the past 300 years. Chopra’s collaboration with Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing is expected to deliver a striking ensemble that aligns with the theme while showcasing her signature elegance.
Chopra first made waves at the MET Gala in 2017, debuting in a dramatic Ralph Lauren trench coat dress that became an instant fashion moment. In 2018, she stunned in a deep red velvet gown with a bejeweled hood, perfectly matching the "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination" theme. Her 2019 appearance saw her embrace a Mad Hatter-inspired look, while in 2023, she opted for a sleek Valentino gown for the "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty" theme.
Joining her at the MET Gala this year will be Shah Rukh Khan, Kiara Advani, and Diljit Dosanjh, further strengthening Indian representation on the global fashion stage. Khan is expected to wear a custom Sabyasachi ensemble for his debut appearance.
Chopra’s presence at the MET Gala continues to reinforce her status as a fashion powerhouse, blending cultural heritage with contemporary couture. Her upcoming Hollywood project, "Heads of State," co-starring John Cena and Idris Elba, is set to release on July 2, 2025.
