World exhibition MAMA: Mother Nature held on May 10 at world-renowned Rome's MAXXI – National Museum of 21st Century Arts finished on May 14. Conceived by Leyla Aliyeva, IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Action) creator, and Emin Mammadov, curator, the exhibition brings together 55 artists from 28 countries across the globe such as the USA, Germany, India, and Azerbaijan.
Through paintings, sculptures, digital art, photography, and immersive environments, the exhibition gives tribute to the mother spirit of life and reinforces human beings' deep relationship with nature. The exhibition calls for ecological preservation, coexistence, and responsibility amidst mounting climate issues. The artwork portrays nature as vulnerable, strong, and with an urgent need to care for the environment.
The production premiered initially at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku in 2024 and then traveled across Bahrain before arriving in Rome. Visitors are invited to see this moving visual dialogue regarding the protection of our world for future generations.
