In a thrilling IPL clash, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) secured a comprehensive 42-run win over Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) after posting a formidable total of 231/6 in their 20 overs. RCB, in response, could only manage 189 in 19.5 overs despite a spirited 62-run knock from opener Philip Salt, who struck 4 fours and 5 sixes at a blazing strike rate of 193.75.

Virat Kohli chipped in with a fiery 43 off 25 balls, but the middle order failed to sustain the momentum. Jitesh Sharma added 24, while no other batter could cross the 20-run mark. Pat Cummins led the SRH bowling attack brilliantly, finishing with 3 wickets for 28 runs. He was well-supported by Eshan Malinga and Harsh Dubey, who picked up crucial wickets to derail RCB’s chase.

RCB’s batting collapse in the latter half of the innings proved costly, as Sunrisers tightened their grip on the game with disciplined bowling and sharp fielding. With this win, SRH continue to solidify their playoff aspirations, while RCB’s inconsistency remains a concern as the tournament heads toward its business end.
