Waaree Energies Ltd has won a big order for the supply of 410 MWp solar photovoltaic modules, once again further entrenching its position in India's growing renewable energy space. This new contract, won from a leading domestic player involved in developing and running renewable power projects, is bigger than the company's just-announced 362.5 MWp order earlier this month.
Delivery of these advanced solar modules is expected to begin in the fiscal year 2025-2026, in line with India's ambitious renewable energy goals. Although the exact monetary terms of the deal are not disclosed, this is one of Waaree's biggest orders to date, reflecting increasing interest in solar solutions in India.
This news comes on the heels of Waaree's recent growth, such as the launch of commercial production at its 1,400 MW monocrystalline PERC solar cell factory in Gujarat. The company's success in bagging large orders continues to reinforce its leadership role in India's shift towards cleaner energy sources.
