Mysuru will see a vibrant Tiranga Yatra on May 16, organized by BJP as a civilian show of unity with the Indian Armed Forces following the success in Operation Sindoor. MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar unequivocally stated that the Yatra will be non-political and purely patriotic and for the solidarity with soldiers who destroyed terror camps in Pakistan. The rally, titled Rashtra Rakshanegaagi Nagarikaru (Citizens for security of the country), will be inaugurated at 10 AM from Field Marshal K.M. Cariappa Circle (Metropole Circle) on JLB Road and proceed through Shivarampet to terminate at the point of origin. City BJP President L. Nagendra and party leaders will participate alongside thousands of citizens. The ceremony is going to be done in honor of the heroism of the security personnel and supporting national unity amid rising security moves following the Pahalgam terror attack.
