Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ) has reported robust operational performance for April 2025, underscoring its continued momentum as India’s leading ports and logistics operator. The company handled a total cargo volume of 37.5 million metric tonnes (MMT) during the month, marking a 4% year-on-year increase. This growth was driven by a sharp 21% rise in container volumes and an 8% uptick in liquid cargo and gas handling, reflecting broad-based demand across sectors.
In the logistics segment, APSEZ achieved a significant milestone, recording a rail volume of 57,751 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), up 17% from the previous year. The General Purpose Wagon Investment Scheme (GPWIS) cargo volume also rose 4% year-on-year to 1.8 MMT, highlighting the company’s expanding multimodal transport capabilities.
These figures come on the heels of a strong financial quarter, where APSEZ reported a 50% surge in consolidated net profit and a 23% rise in operational revenue. The company’s integrated approach to port and logistics services continues to drive efficiency and growth, positioning it as a key player in India’s infrastructure and trade landscape.
