UAE travellers are paving the way for Eid Al Adha 2025 and moving away from the primary tourist locations of places like Paris, Rome and Bangkok, instead looking to lesser-known, distinctive destinations that signify authenticity and serenity. This year, the increasing desire for exploration of lesser-visited locations is extraordinary as vacationers are pursuing mountain-trekking adventures; culturally rich, interactive local experiences and wellness retreats.

Top emerging destinations are Switzerland’s alpine villages; Japan’s rural lands; South Africa’s coastline; Singapore’s quaint spots and South Korea’s cultural eastern regions. Travellers are foregoing the bustling capitals for subdued towns and less-populated regions that offer a more substantial connection to local culture and nature.

Even closer to home, Jeddah, Riyadh and Abha in Saudi Arabia and Salalah in Oman are gaining popularity for their uncommon blend and unique accessibility. Wellness tourism is surging with interests in yoga retreats and spa therapies in Chiang Mai and Phuket in Thailand, Bali, Kerala and Rishikesh in India focused on spa resorts and retreats and luxury resort in Switzerland.

Pristine landscapes of Bhutan, alpine meadows of Bishkek and rugged terrains of the Faroe Islands are also attracting adventurous residents of the UAE. Travel agents are continuing to vent and note a shift toward meaningful vacations that are crowd-free and Eid Al Adha 2025 is sure to be an excursion for those willing to step off the beaten track.
