After completing its theatrical run—which received a slew of mixed reviews from both fans and critics—Salman Khan's highly promoted action film Sikandar is gearing up for a digital release. Netflix India shared the news on social media, as well, also posting a beautiful new poster stating, “Suna hai bohot log Sikandar ka intezaar kar rahe the? Sikandar aa gaya hai Netflix par raj karne. Watch Sikandar, out 25 May on Netflix.” The news has created a buzz, as fans are looking forward to seeing the film, especially for those who did not watch it in theaters.
Sikandar was released on 30 March, 2025 to coincide with the Eid holiday. The film opened to ₹100 crore at the Indian box office and ended up grossing over ₹200 crore worldwide, but it didn't hit the highs of his previous films. The digital rights were sold to Netflixfor reportedly ₹85 crores, ensuring the producers were able to recover nicely.
The film follows Salman Khan's character, Sanjay Rajkot, as he takes on political corruption after he experiences familial tragedy. With its blend of action, emotional drama, and fun-filled entertainment, the movie gives audiences another opportunity to connect with the film's narrative tapestry.
The streaming starting time is 12 midnight on May 25 exclusively on Netflix.
