Swiggy Ltd. has made a big announcement regarding its hyper-speed food delivery business, Bolt, now live in more than 500 Indian cities. Launched in October 2024, Bolt has grown from metro cities to Tier 2 and Tier 3 towns at a fast pace, revolutionizing Indians' food delivery experience. The business currently processes over 10% of all food delivery orders on the Swiggy platform, a huge leap in terms of reach and influence.

Bolt's distinct model serves high-demand, speedy-serve food in merely 10 minutes through a network of more than 45,000 restaurant chains, such as known brands KFC, McDonald's, Subway, Faasos, and Burger King. The service remains in a constricted 2 km delivery distance to provide food that is delivered hot and fresh while upholding strict safety procedures-delivery partners are not rewarded for speediness but rather take their well-being into consideration.

Swiggy's CEO, Rohit Kapoor, pointed out that Bolt's success is not merely due to speed, but the smooth operations and streamlined restaurant workflows in the background. The Bolt initiative is also leading to improved user retention and assisting restaurant partners in growing daily orders, which further consolidates Swiggy's leadership of India's quick commerce revolution.
