Hyundai Motor India Limited has announced that the Creta has once again emerged as the highest-selling model in the Indian automobile market, marking its second consecutive month at the top. In April 2025, Hyundai recorded 17,016 unit sales for the Creta, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 10.2 percent compared to April 2024.
The Creta’s strong performance has reinforced Hyundai’s dominance in the SUV segment, with the model maintaining its leadership as India’s best-selling SUV from January to April 2025. During this period, cumulative sales reached 69,914 units, contributing to an all-time high of 70.9 percent of Hyundai’s domestic SUV sales.
Tarun Garg, Whole-Time Director and Chief Operating Officer of Hyundai Motor India Limited, attributed the Creta’s success to the trust and loyalty of Indian customers. He emphasized that the model’s blend of style, safety, innovation, and performance continues to set benchmarks in the industry.
The introduction of an electric powertrain has further strengthened the Creta’s appeal, positioning it as a key player in India’s electric mobility journey. Hyundai’s SUV lineup, including models like the Venue, Exter, and Alcazar, has also benefited from the growing consumer preference for SUVs.
With over a decade of presence and more than 1.2 million satisfied customers, the Creta remains a preferred choice for Indian buyers.
