Legendary cricketer Kapil Dev has weighed in on the debate over family presence during cricket tours, emphasizing the need for a balanced approach. The BCCI recently introduced a policy limiting family visits on extended tours, allowing families to join players for up to 14 days on tours over 45 days. Kapil Dev supports the idea of family presence but stresses the importance of maintaining team unity. He recalled how, during his playing days, players would focus on cricket initially and then have their families join them later in the tour. Virat Kohli also expressed support for family presence, highlighting its rejuvenating effect during intense tours. Kohli emphasized the value of maintaining normalcy and responsibility through family support.
