Karan Johar Sees Bollywood’s Next Superstar in Vedang Raina: ‘I Really Like Him’

Film director Karan Johar has praised newcomer Vedang Raina, calling him one of the "next generation of Bollywood superstars." Renowned for launching star kids, Johar was impressed with Vedang's passion for playing daring, risk-taking roles and fresh storytelling. Vedang first grabbed the spotlight as Reggie Mantle in Zoya Akhtar's The Archies (2023) and followed it up by proving his mettle in the action thriller Jigra (2024), opposite Alia Bhatt.

 

Karan also admired Vedang's vocal abilities, noting that the actor performs his songs without autotune, highlighting his raw talent. With an upcoming project alongside director Imtiaz Ali and actors Naseeruddin Shah and Diljit Dosanjh, Vedang's career in the industry looks promising.
