Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath has voiced his frustration over the prolonged metro construction near his home in Bengaluru, revealing that the project has been dragging on for a decade.

Speaking on his podcast, Kamath discussed the city’s notorious traffic issues with Bengaluru’s top police officials. He pointed out that while other metros like Delhi and Mumbai have well-connected public transport, Bengaluru’s infrastructure struggles to keep pace with its rapid urban expansion.

Kamath specifically mentioned the Bannerghatta Road metro construction, which began ten years ago and is still incomplete. He argued that the lack of reliable public transport contributes to the city’s worsening congestion, making daily commutes a nightmare for residents.

His remarks have reignited conversations about Bengaluru’s infrastructure delays, with many residents echoing similar concerns about stalled metro projects and road expansions.
