Dabur India is selling off its tea, adult and baby diapers, and sanitising product portfolios as part of a strategic review to strengthen its core business and spur growth. These categories contributed less than 1% to Dabur's sales and have been lagging, prompting the company to "rationalise" its portfolio and allocate resources to more promising categories. CEO Mohit Malhotra stated that the move will free up capital to invest in Dabur's leading brands-like Dabur Red, Real, Chyawanprash, Honey, Hajmola, Amla, Odonil, and Vatika-which together account for over 70% of revenue. The company is also focusing on premiumisation, health and wellness innovation, and expansion via e-commerce and quick commerce channels. This increased emphasis is aimed at providing sustainable double-digit growth and building a future-ready portfolio.
