Paytm Lets You Play Hide and Seek With Your Transactions—Privacy Just Got a Power-Up!

Paytm has introduced a fresh privacy-oriented feature in the form of 'Hide Payment', through which users can hide individual transactions from payment history in the app. The initiative aims to provide users with better control over their transaction history and as response to increasing privacy concerns around transactions.

 

The 'Hide Payment' option enables users to hide specific payments—like surprise gifts, personal spends, or secret spends—from view, but retain complete access to them if necessary. Notably, the option does not erase any transaction but merely hides it from the principal list of transactions, maintaining transparency and ease of access.

This feature launch coincides with the demand from customers for greater privacy and convenience in making digital payments. Paytm's new feature is also differentiated compared to competitors such as Google Pay and PhonePe, as they currently do not have similar transaction-hiding features, providing Paytm customers with a special privacy benefit.
