Waaree Solar Americas Inc., a subsidiary of Waaree Energies Ltd., today announced a substantial incremental investment of $200 million to scale its business in the US market, taking its overall investment in the US market to $1.2 billion. The growth will further consolidate Waaree's manufacturing base in the US, especially at its Brookshire, Texas facility, where the company is doubling its solar module manufacturing capacity to 3.2 GW.

The new investment is likely to create around 300-500 new jobs, complemented by Waaree's current U.S. growth plans creating a total of 1,800-2,000 new jobs. The action reflects Waaree's dedication to promoting the local solar supply chain and addressing the growing demand for renewable energy solutions nationwide.

In the midst of a world that is reshaping the world trade norms, we're not waiting for dust to settle – we're building in the midst of it," said Dr. Amit Paithankar, Whole-time Director and CEO of Waaree Energies Ltd.

The growth is a part of Waaree's plan for localizing manufacturing, diversifying supply chains, and strengthening itself as a responsible partner for the US solar industry.
